Apple MacBook Pro have a design flaw called flexgate. Where after some use, the flex cable gets damaged from repeated opening and closing of the flap. It can be fixed by micro-soldering the flex cable with a small replacement cable.

My laptop experienced this issue recently, I took it to iFlex, told them about it, the lady said i had to pay 245 riyals so that an “expert” would open it, check it thoroughly and to send me an email detailing what needs to be done. And if I would go ahead with the repair, then the cost of the estimate would be waived.
The next day I received a phone call telling me they can only change the screen as they don’t do any repair… why did I pay for an estimate then? And why shall I pay 2700 riyals to replace a perfectly working screen? If the issue is with the cable design?
